Gift certificates are given away as part of the comprehensive promotional program. HoliDazzle helps promote nearly 40 events or activities taking place in and around Downtown Durango. The effort is one of many organized to help sustain Durango’s Historic Downtown.Merchants put the “dazzle” in Holidazzle with the Window Decorating competition. Early word is that Santa Claus will also be making a visit to Historic Downtown Durango.

SnowDown 2014Whether you are a local or just someone who needs to attend a week-long mid-Winter party, Durango, Colorado is your kind of place. Take part in the group victory ride on the last day of camp. Advanced riders can look forward to getting more in-depth information on their riding stance and skills with video movement analysis. She Ride helps women work on carving, bumps, jumps, park, switch, and speed.

The Durango Winter Sports Foundation invites the Durango community to our 13th annual Spaghetti Dinner which takes place on the evening of the Snowdown Parade, Friday, January 31st 2014, at the Elks Lodge on 9th Street; just a half block from the parade route. Dinner will be prepared by Mutu’s Italian Kitchen  and served by our ski and snowboard teams. All proceeds Benefit Durango’s Winter Athlete’s on the Alpine, Freestyle, Nordic and Snowboard Teams. February 1 | Snowdown Balloon RallyThe Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is again the proud HotAir Balloons sponsor of the Snowdown Balloon Rally Mass Ascension on Snowdown Saturday, (February 1, 2014). As part of the celebration, the D&SNGRR is running the Snowdown Balloon Rally Train. The train will stop in the Animas Valley for the colorful hot-air balloon mass ascension, offering passengers the chance to view the mass ascension from the comfort of heated train coaches. If they choose, passengers can also get off the train for 15-20 minutes to get a better view of the balloons.
