3 Pub Science – for age 21 and up - First and third Fridays at “the Pow” (The Powerhouse Theater at Durango Discovery Museum) A special night out for citizen scientists, moms, dads, grandmothers, grandfathers, and anyone who needs a few, well-earned happy hours of fun—adult style. Pub Science is scheduled the first and third Fridays of every month, 5:30-7:30pm, in 2013. There's food and affordable drinks; it's casual and creative, and there's always a science-y twist. No RSVP or tickets required.
4 Star Wars Day at Durango Discovery Museum - May 4 is dubbed “Star Wars Day” because of the infamous pun,“may the fourth be with you.” Fans all over the world use the day as an excuse to stage movie marathons and wage impromptu light-sabre fights.
3 - 5 Cinco de Mayo at Gazpacho's - Regional Hispano bands and performers come together for 3 days to support Fort Lewis College students and raise funds for the El Centro Book Scholarship as well as the Fort Lewis Ballet Folklorico Dancers. 12:00 NOON - 6:00 pm May 3, 4, and 5 at Gazpacho's Restaurant, 431 East 2nd Avenue in Durango.

8 - 15 Ride the Rockies - Durango serves as one of the host communities during this annual bicycle tour that takes 2,000 cyclists, assisted by more than 100 volunteers, on a 6 to7 day ride on paved roads through Colorado’s Rocky Mountains each June.
