25 Narrow Gauge 10 Miler and 5K - 8:00 am - 1:00 pm at Santa Rita Park (149 S Camino del Rio) in Durango. This is the oldest race in Colorado. This Memorial Day weekend tradition includes a 10-mile road race, a 5K run and more. Registration is now open!
24 - 26 Iron Horse Bicycle Classic - It’s almost that time: Registration for the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic officially opened on December 3, 2013. Though the takes place on Memorial Day Weekend (May 24-26, 2014), early registration is essential.
30 - 31 Durango Blues Train - May 30 & 31 and August 22 & 23, 2014. An exciting 3.5 hour moving musical experience providing two consecutive evenings of live blues. NEW FOR 2014 - each night will feature a different group of musicians. You will travel on the Historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s coal-fired, steam-powered train through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. The event features six live blues performances (2 bands and 4 solo/duo artists) in six rail cars with a festive musical environment that promises an amazing experience.
Each artist performs in their own vintage coach, while passengers are to free to dance their way from coach to coach and delight in a variety of musical performances.

14 - 17 Railfest - The annual Durango Railfest event showcases western-style cowboy events such as the World Fast Draw Association shoot-out and competition, Native American Dancers and Heritage Train with the Southern Ute Tribe from Ignacio in addition to special events and train rides throughout the weekend. All events pay tribute to Durango’s railroading legacy.

28 - Sep 1 Four Corners Motorcycle Rally™ - Ignacio Bike Week™ and the Four Corners Biker Rally have joined together to bring you a bigger and better rally, the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally™. The Four Corners Motorcycle Rally happens all over the Four Corners throughout Labor Day weekend. The Million Dollar Highway through Durango is voted one of the top four motorcycle rides in the country. Durango Harley-Davidson features the Harley demo fleet. There will also be a beer tent with live music and food during the daytime from Friday–Sunday. Motorcycle enthusiasts participate in events which take place throughout the region: Sky Ute Casino, Durango, Cortez, Silverton, Ignacio and all points in between.

The Four Corners Motorcycle Rally happens all over the Four Corners throughout Labor Day weekend. The Million Dollar Highway through Durango is voted one of the top four motorcycle rides in the country. Durango Harley-Davidson features the Harley demo fleet. There will also be a beer tent with live music and food during the daytime from Friday–Sunday. Motorcycle enthusiasts participate in events which take place throughout the region: Sky Ute Casino, Durango, Cortez, Silverton, Ignacio and all points in between.
6 - 7 Whole Expo - The Holistic Health and Ecological Conference & Exposition. Saturday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm at La Plata County Fairgrounds.

2 - 5 Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering - A celebration of the rich culture and heritage of the American cowboy. The Gathering is an exciting, fun-filled event with evening performances and Saturday daytime sessions. Poets and musicians from throughout the country grace our intimate stage at The Strater Theater, performing classic and contemporary poems and songs that will bring tears to your eyes and keep you in stitches.
10 - 12 Durango Heritage Celebration - A series of events honoring Durango's Victorian and Old West Past. You'll find that a large number of event goers will be dressed in authentic period attire throughout the celebration. We encourage everyone to join in the fun by donning your Victorian, Edwardian or Old West finery for any of our events.
