Narrow Gauge Day - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Enjoy free hot dogs and music by the Bar D Wranglers on the lawn at the train depot to celebrate the trains first run to Silverton on May 3rd.

Cinco de Mayo - In recognition of the Mexican troops victory over French troops at the Battle of Puebla, Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Latino pride and culture and a Durango tradition for 11 years. Held in Gateway Park, the festivities include dancing and music.

Spring Gallery Walk - 5-9 p.m. - Visit the galleries in Durango for special shows, food and drink.

Bares, Bulls and Broncs Rodeo - 7-9 p.m. - Pro Rodeo at the Fairgrounds.

Iron Horse Bicycle Classic - In 1972 a group of 36 riders decided to celebrate the first run of the train in the spring, by accepting the challenge. It's been all up hill since then. In 35 years the Iron Horse has become truely one of the classic bicycleevents in the West.
