Durango has a regional airport with jet aircraft service, the Durango-La Plata County Airport. The airport is served by four airlines. Frontier Airlines and United Airlines both serve Durango through Denver Hubs and US Airways offers flights through Phoenix. The newest addition is American Eagle Airlines which will offer service through Dallas beginning June 9, 2011. The airport is situated to the southeast of Durango. It is accessible from Durango by taking U.S. 550 South and then taking U.S. 160 East approximately 5.5 miles to Highway 172. From Hwy. 172, the airport is located on Airport Road, also known as C.R. 309, a right turn off of Hwy. 172.

The Durango – La Plata County Airport offers a number of services within the airport for your convenience. The Durango Deli Express serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The gift shop, La Plata Gifts, offers souvenirs and gifts from Durango. The airport is also fully wireless, you can access the web anywhere in the terminal free of charge. There are three wireless options for you to choose from. The airport is also fully ADA accessible.
There are two parking lots at the Durango – La Plata County Airport. The parking rate is $6 per day. There are also shuttle and taxi services available to the airport.
