Coronavirus Updates: Durango, CO

[Updated May 19, 2021] We are constantly monitoring changes due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The San Juan Basin Public Health office is constantly monitoring the situation and updating the public. As of May 19, Durango has eased face mask requirements. Face masks are no longer required by the city.

The State of Colorado has shifted responsibility to local public health agencies to enact protocols for handling COVID-19. For more information on the San Juan County COVID-19 situation, please see the SJBPH website.

Businesses in Durango are open and ready to welcome you. Please keep in mind that individual businesses may request that you wear a face mask in their establishment.

Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park is currently open to visitors, including the bookstore, restrooms, virtual rangers station and parking lot. Exhibits, the information desk, and rest of building are closed until further notice due to COVID-19 precautions.
