Cascade Canyon Spring Excursion
March- April, 2021
The Durango Silverton train takes passengers on trips to the gorgeous Cascade Canyon during the winter and spring seasons. This excursion leads you on a 26 mile journey through the scenic San Juan National Forest and along the famous Animas River. You will enjoy breathtaking views along the way and delight in the beauty of the falls.

Spring Historic Narration Coach
Not Offered In 2021
A great option for history buffs, the Durango train's historic narration coach departs at 9:45 am Monday through Friday during the spring schedule. Learn all about what it took to build the Narrow Gauge Railroad and what it takes to keep it going, and even more historical facts about the area. The train will take you back to Durango from Cascade Canyon by 2:45 pm.

Shamrock Express

Get your Irish on when you board the Shamrock Express train headed into Cascade Canyon this March. Enjoy Irish beer and drink specials, including a special Irish red St. Patrick's Day beer from Brew Pub & Kitchen, as well as music from local celtic band the Kitchen Jam Band. There will also be temporary tattoos, boxed lunch available for pre-order, and seating will be available in standard and first class train cars.

Hops & Hops

A great family friendly Easter event, Hops & Hops aboard the Durango Train is one the kids won't want to miss. This excursion to Cascade Canyon pairs children with an Easter basket and two crafts to participate in along the way. Upon arrival, kids will get to meet and take pictures with the Easter bunny and enjoy an Easter egg hunt. Adults can partake in some tasty hoppy brew beverages on the ride as well.
