Movies In The Park

Event Description

Free outdoor movies are offered every other Friday for families this summer. The location switches between Buckley Park and on the lawn behind the Recreation Center in the North Main District. The schedule for 2022 is as follows:

• June 3: Jungle Cruise at Buckley Park
• June 17: Mulan (live version) at the Rec Center Lawn
• July 1: Sandlot at Buckley Park (see July 4 events)
• July 15: Sing2! at the Rec Center Lawn
• July 29: Encanto! at Buckley Park - Spanish Movie Night ( in Spanish with English subtitles)
• August 5: Spiderman: No Way Home at Buckley Park
• August 19: Cruella at the Rec Center Lawn

Attendees can arrive around 7:00pm. Prior to the movie, there will be food vendors, local youth talent, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. At approximately 8:30pm the t-shirt canon is in action along with other prize giveaways. The movie will start 15 minutes after sunset. Bring your lawn chair or blanket for the event. Don't forget to grab dinner at one of our many wonderful restaurants prior to the movie in Downtown Durango or the North Main District!
