Music in the Mountains Dinner & Family Concert

Event Description

Enjoy a hot dog dinner prior to this Festival Orchestra concert designed for children and their families!

Pieces to be performed include:

BRUCE ADOLPHE: Carnival of the Creatures

BENJAMIN BRITTEN: The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra

The Carnival of the Creatures is a comic, entertaining, and virtuosic portrayal of musical creatures including an owl, a shark, and a unicorn! Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra not only introduces the differences between various instruments but is a powerful and sophisticated “theme and variations” work with something for audiences of all ages.

Event Schedule: Starting the night at 5:30 p.m. with a hot dog dinner in the CCH courtyard and the concert beginning at 6:30pm.
