November 20 - January 3

Event Description

Our premier event of the year, The Polar Express Train, is selling fast! Be sure to choose your date and car type and book now. Certain dates and car types will sell quickly and you'll want to be first to book!

Book now to secure your space for the whole family. Make it your holiday tradition to bring the whole family to take the magical journey to the North Pole on the Polar Express Train! Seats sell quickly for this very special event, especially premium seats.

This year, the Polar Express Train Ride will be unlike any other you have experienced. An exciting musical pre-show begins 15 minutes before boarding. After boarding, you will embark on your 35 minute train journey. Once you arrive at the North Pole, which this year will be located at the railyard and the museum, you will meet 2 of Santa's LIVE reindeer and many friendly elves. You will then be guided through the North Pole on a designated path where you will see several of the characters from the movie. You will then visit Santa's workshop where you will have the opportunity to take a socially distanced photo of him. Please remember to bring your own camera or phone if you'd like to obtain a photo. All attendees will receive Santa's first gift of the season. Delicious hot chocolate and a cookie will be served at the end of your North Pole adventure.

About THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride

The award-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg and adapted to the big screen in 2003, the story of a child's Christmas Eve journey comes alive onboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride! All ages can enjoy the experience, warmth and fun of the Christmas season on a special trip to the North Pole!

Note: Due to COVID-19, we've shortened the event and made other changes for increased safety purposes. We are practicing ticketless operations. Golden souvenir tickets will not be available at the ticket office but will be distributed during the event. We ask that passengers arrive no earlier than 1/2 hour before their train departure. Masks are required and must be worn by everyone 10 and older. The North Pole will be located at the depot and in the museum this year. Train cars will be running at reduced capacity. While seating is assigned, we reserve the right to modify seating assignments as needed to assure social distancing. No groups of 20+ will be allowed per car regardless of traveling together.
