San Juan Songwriters Festival

The inaugural San Juan Songwriters Festival is coming to Durango September 24–27, 2026, bringing together Hall of Fame songwriters, Nashville hitmakers, and rising artists for a weekend centered around live music and storytelling. Instead of large stages and crowded festival grounds, this event is designed to feel more personal, giving audiences the chance to hear the stories and experiences behind the songs in intimate settings throughout downtown Durango.

Performances will take place at several local venues, including the historic Diamond Belle Saloon inside the Strater Hotel, Lola's Place, and the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum. Combined with Durango’s mountain scenery, local restaurants, and walkable downtown atmosphere, the festival offers a unique way to experience live music in Southwest Colorado.
