Take On The World’s Longest Zipline Tour At Soaring Colorado
Soaring Tree Top Adventures is the longest, largest zip line tour not just in Durango, but in the world. Located on a remote property in the northern mountains of Durango, Soaring is one of the must-visit attractions you'll want to plan in on your next trip.
About Soaring
Soaring Tree Top Adventures opened in 2004 as the first zip line course in the United States. Today, it's the longest zip line tour in the world. Soaring gives visitors the chance to glide along 27 zip lines in the San Juan Mountains. Lines range from 56 to 1,400 feet in length. As you zip and swing through the mountains, you'll cross the Animas River and pass through stunning Old Growth Ponderosa Pines and Aspen Groves.
Getting There
Soaring Tree Top Adventures is unique because it is not accessible by car. Previously, the only way to get to Soaring was via the Durango Train. In 2020, Soaring introduced a new way to arrive: Helicopter! Soaring now offers a 15 minute VIP helicopter ride for your family. See southwest Colorado from a new angle and enjoy beautiful views of the river, mountains and trees below as you head to your adventure.

A Full Day Of Adventure
Soaring is a great way to spend an entire day in Durango. The course takes around 5.5 hours and includes a water and snack stop, bathroom break and even a four-course gourmet lunch in the trees. The land that Soaring explores is remote and private, meaning it hasn't been developed or altered. It's a great way to see untouched Colorado terrain from a completely new angle.
Dine In The Trees
Your trip to Soaring just wouldn't be complete without a yummy lunch in the treetops. Half-way through your adventure, you'll stop for lunch on a zip line platform that overlooks the animas river. Your lunch is prepared by the Soaring chefs who can accommodate most dietary restrictions. They have vegetarian options, gluten free items and even a children's menu for younger guests.

Environmentally Friendly Adventure
One of the coolest behind-the-scenes fun facts about Soaring is how safe their lines are for the trees. Soaring has a patented system that does not use hooks, bolts, screws or anything that could harm the trees you will zip through. They also use top of the line cables, connectors and climbing equipment to keep visitors safe too! The course and equipment are inspected daily.
On your next trip, dedicate a day to adventure at Soaring Tree Tops! This Durango attraction is fun for the whole family and will give you a unique view of the area.
