At Timberline Trading, every product tells a story — one rooted in the rugged spirit, rich history, and breathtaking beauty of Colorado's San Juan Mountains. Family-owned and creatively driven, our shop is more than a place to pick up a souvenir; it's a tribute to place, heritage, and the art of storytelling through design.
Our journey begins with deep roots. Wyatt Carmack, a Silverton native, grew up immersed in the region's mining, outdoor, and small-town traditions. His father, Wiley Carmack, operated Timberline Trading in the late 1970s, introducing a generation of visitors to Silverton's charm through a mix of minerals, sporting goods, and souvenirs. Over time, Wiley's passion for geology and mountain adventure inspired him to rebrand as Outdoor World, continuing to share the stories of Silverton's peaks and past with travelers from around the world.
In 2024, Wyatt and his partner, Gina Rosato — a graphic designer and artist — revived the Timberline Trading name in honor of that family legacy. Blending Gina's creative vision with Wyatt's deep local knowledge, the shop was reimagined into a vibrant space that captures the essence of the San Juan lifestyle. Together with their daughter, Anyela, they continue the family tradition, offering thoughtfully designed goods that reflect the unique character of Silverton and its surrounding mountains.
Every shirt, sticker, patch and pin in our store is designed in-house, carefully crafted to share the stories, legends, and landmarks that make this corner of Colorado so special. Whether you're commemorating your first visit to Silverton or returning year after year, our products are created to bring a piece of the mountains home with you.
At its heart, Timberline Trading is about connection — to place, to history, and to one another.
